Ok. I live in a condo with not much space and a flat paved parking lot. I cant spend more than a hundred dollars here. The kids i always hang out have Ripstik casterboards. I really want one. yet there is also a Trikke nearby for about the same price. the thing is, i'm going to college soon so i'm not sure which to get. the ripstik, or the trikke.
please help.

Ripstiks don't have brakes, so always keep that in mind when you are riding. With that in mind, there are, however, ways for you to slow down to a speed where you can hop off of the board.

How to Slow Down on a Ripstik

• When you are going fast, start to make wide carves and turns. Making wide carves is a good way of controlling your speed down a hill. When you are going slow enough, make a full circle turn. Turn uphill to get yourself to stop.
• Learn how to powerslide. A powerslide is what snowboarders do to stop. To powerslide, kick out your back foot so that the back of the board slides across the ground. This takes some practice.
