The Motorized Board Has Evolved | Introducing the MotoXBoard
By Action Isle • Aug 4th, 2008 • Category: MotorizedThere seems to have been little advancement in motorized mountainboards and off road boards over the past years. Their are many skeletons left over from motorized boards that have come and gone, and there are very few that have a solid foothold. With how things are currently in the motorized board world, you'll find many junky imported motorized mountainboards, and very few ones of quality. The choices are limited, and their are very few that stand out from the crowd.

The makers of the MotoXBoard are paving the way for a new breed of motorized off road boards. One that is both functional and fun. The MotoXBoard is the product of 15 years of tinkering. What sets this board apart from the rest is it's unique design. Most motorized off road boards have suspension and trucks like a mountainboard or skateboard, as well as a chain powered rear wheel. The MotoXBoard has a large powered wheel placed in the middle of the board, fully independent floater suspension, and a rear mounted handle bar. The rear handle bar provides extra balance support when things get rough, and is where the rider controls the throttle and braking.

Come on man, A fifth wheel thats powered. This is way unstable because of the weighting problem that fifth wheel puts imbalance on all the other 4 wheels. Check out “holyboarder1″ on utube for a real board that goes real fast and is real stable>
especialy the jump on photo looks really cool to me
@ Lorenzo Shapiro
Thanks for the point towards holyboarder1 on youtube. Checked out the video, and that thing is a beast.
First, I would like to thank Meboard for presenting the motoXboard on this site and for the great job editing the video. Also, thanks Jeff, for the props.
As far as stability goes, the drive wheel on the motoXboard is fitted to an adjustable multi-link swingarm that allows tuneing for spring rate, dampening, and deck height. This, together with four independently adjustable satellite wheels allow the rider to tune the ride from very stable, to crazy manuverable and according to terrain.
We at Motoxboards are so confident in the performance of this design that we are willing to challange any other product out there to a dual on any terrain. That includes you, Lorenzo.
Eric
P.S. Check out our new vid on you tube titled, “motoXboard Road Trip”.
