Is there anyone in southeastern Wisconsin who has a Trikke and/or knows how to properly use one?

By Action Isle • Feb 13th, 2010 • Category: Questions

I live in Racine and just purchased a Trikke about 1 week ago. I believe it'll be fun and a good workout, which is why I purchased this item. However, I don't think I'm doing it correctly. The advertisement showed how you can use your body to make the Trikke go for miles at a time. However, I'm lucky if I can get it to go 50 feet. Can someone help me? I would like someone to show me how. Thanks.

  1. Try their website at http://www.trikke.com

  2. It takes time to get a good rhythm with a trikke, but if you keep at it, your body will adapt. I’ve been riding for six years, but I looked a lot like a duck when I started. One thing that really helped me, oddly enough, was that I was also taking salsa lessons at the time. While I’m not necessarily recommending you take dance lessons, the analogy of riding a trikke to dancing is important. Music from an mp3 player is a good aid for leaning to ride–just keep your eyes open and stay safe!
