The hand-held sail, called the Kitewing, is often used with a Dirtsurfer (many people call it Wingsurfing). With a Kitewing and a Dirtsurfer, you can travel at high speeds without ever getting speed wobble (due to the Dirtsurfer’s design).

The Flexboardz is a great board to use with the Kitewing. Why? The excellent turning ability of the board makes the board handle nicely when used with the hand held Kitewing.

For landlocked individuals wanting to harness the power of the wind, or windsurfers in the off season, take a look at the Land Surfer.  It’s a board designed to be used with a sail.  The board isn’t like traditional mountainboards, it isn’t even like a skateboard. It doesn’t use springs or bushings.  You can turn the Land Surfer up to 180 degrees, all without getting any resistance from a spring or a bushing. The only resistance is from the turn itself.

How cool would it be to be able to Kitewing on water? INCREDIBLY COOL! Now, thanks to the creators of the Kitewing, you can!

Wave Warrior

Introducing the Wave Warrior!  Imagine a mix of kiteboarding and windsurfing, except without the strings and without the sail being attached to anything.

With the Wave Warrior you can get nice jumps and airtime. You can even pull off no hand jumps.

It is said on the Wave Warrior’s web site that it requires less strength to handle than in kiteboarding and windsurfing, and that it is ”totally depowerable, which makes it very safe to use.” Meaning that you have great control over the wing while you are riding.

The Kitewing is a handheld sail that has opened the door to many possibilities. It is like wind surfing, except the sail is completely unattached to anything and is handheld.  A Kitewing can be used in any season, summer, winter, whenever.

Kitewing

You can use a Kitewing with a mountainboard, inline skates, dirtsurfer, longboard, whatever you want.  Don’t worry about it snowing because the fun doesn’t ever stop.  Use the Kitewing with a snowboard, skiis, or go on a frozen lake with ice skates.

With a Kitewing you can get going pretty fast and get some nice air.  This is what they say on the Kitewing web site

“Speeds up to 100 km/h (62 mp/h) and 5 m high, 40 m long jumps on flat surface are not unusual.”

5 meters is roughly 16 feet, and 40 meters is roughly 131 feet!
