Many people, instead of pitching something they don’t need anymore, have begun to use FreeCycle to give it away to someone else. FreeCycle.org is a great site where people can give away something they don’t need/want to someone who wants it. Join your local area’s network and give away something you don’t or get some great stuff for free!

Lots of people have received free bikes out of this site from people in their area. Who knows what else you could get for free?

Forget rolling down a hill in a giant rubber wheel, or a trashcan, that’s a thing of the past. Now you can roll down a hill in style, by getting in a giant sized air cushioned ball called the Zorb.

As it reads from the official Zorb web site http://www.zorb.com/,

“Zorb is the sport of rolling down a hill inside a giant inflatable ball and where New Zealand, once again leads the world in stupid things to do while you’re on a vacation.”

I’m not surprised that the Zorb was created in New Zealand. New Zealand is the home of many outdoor and action sport enthusiasts and attracts many more in tourism each year. As for this being “stupid”? I think it’s more stupid to bomb down a hill in a trash can, the Zorb is a body saver. Imagine all that cushion.

Would I Zorb down a hill? Without a doubt yes!

Check out this video of people Zorbing down a hill…

Snowboarding and Skiing in Dallas, Texas? Hong Kong? France? No matter the season, or the temp, Snowflex makes it possible to snowboard and ski in seasons and locations where you normally wouldn’t be able to.

Snowflex is an artificial snow surface that is kind of like a “snow carpet.” Past artificial snow surfaces have a reputation of being painful to fall on.  Snowflex, on the other hand, is soft and has a layer of cushion underneath it, making it a more rider friendly surface.

To make the Snowflex surface slippery, they use sprinklers with it to make it wet.  The Snowflex surface is slick but yet it still has enough grip for edge control.

They have set up Snowflex snowboard, ski, and even snow tubing parks in the UK and Hong Kong.  With the appeal of Snowboarding and Skiing year round in even hot climates, you can expect more Snowflex centers to open up in locations all over the world.

This video shows what is currently the largest and longest Snowflex slope in the world.

Remember the Zorb? That big air cushioned ball that people can get inside and roll down hills in? Here’s a clip of Jackie Chan in a older movie of his, “Operation Condor,” showing how extreme he likes to Zorb.

That kind of Zorbing only exists in movies, thankfully!

4WD Nitro DirtthingzThe Nitro Dirtthingz is a 4 wheel drive motorized board.

The Nitro Dirththingz has a 80cc motor, and is capable of going up to  35 mph.

When compared to other motorized mountainboards, the Dirtthingz is definitely in the upper division when it comes to speed and power.

35 mph may not feel very fast in the car, but on a board, 35 mph would be more than fast enough for any rider.

The Dirtthingz has humongous 11 inch balloon tires and is capable of ripping up all sorts of terrains.

The board uses step-in snowboard bindings to secure the rider to the board.

Check out the video below of the Nitro Dirtthingz in action.

What do you think about the Nitro Dirtthingz?

This thing is amazing. It can go on snow, sand, dirt, pretty much all types of terrain! There are tons of possibilities with this thing. The season for it could be all year! Imagine taking this thing out in the summer, boarding on dirt trails, and then when winter comes, imagine taking it out and tearing up the snow with it.

The Scarpar is still in development and isn’t due for release for quite some time I think (seeing as I can’t find an estimated release date for it).

But untill then, I’ll be impatiently waiting for the release.
