It hasn't been perfected yet and the problem is that it overheats because it's pushing out 22amps. (36volts divided by 800watts) There's no real cooling system other then the air that blows on it. So for instance, if your riding it on a very hot day, you can't ride it for long. Once it overheats, that's it, The Engine's Dead!!! That means you have to package the board, and send it back to California to get fixed. The guys over at Excate are great! Once you send the board back to them to be fixed, it's going to take a month before you get it back because they have to order the part. It's a great way to get around, but it overheats quickly. It says you can go 10miles....make that more like 5miles. I weigh 185lbs, maybe if I weighed less it would go farther. I'm hoping the updated board that comes out will have a cooling system. It is realy awesome. I ride it on the street and go off on to the grass and gravel just because I can. It is the best electric off road board. And it keeps me sharp for snowboarding.
