The AquaSkipper isn’t exactly a bike. The AquaSkipper steers like a bike, but instead of pedaling to move forward, the rider jumps up and down.

The frame of the AquaSkipper is made of light aircraft aluminum. The whole thing only weighs 26 lbs, and can be assembled and disassembled easily.
What keeps the bike floating? The hydrofoil blades underneath the AquaSkipper keep it above water, while the rider jumping up and down propels it across the water.
The AquaSkipper is faster than other human powered watercraft. It can go as fast as 17 mph.

Check out this awesome all terrain scooter that is propelled by bouncing. Looks like it would be fun, and it doesn’t look like it would be very hard to use.
Meet the Bike-Yak. It’s a combination of a Kayak and a Bike, and it’s made entirely from parts saved from a landfill. If global warming causes a 10 foot increase in sea level, serious flooding would occur in low lying areas.
The Bike-Yak could be one possible mode of transportation for areas that may become flooded due to global warming.
Check out this awesome Max Skate Bike commercial from 1989.
The SQRL (called “Squirrel”) Skatebike is basically like a unicycle, except it has two wheels added to the front. The Skatebike has a grab bar in the front to help with balance and steering. To steer the Skatebike, just lean to either side.

Here’s more video of the StreetSurfer, a bike that isn’t your ordinary run-of-the-mill bicycle.
The bicycle has been around for a long time, without an amazing amount of change made to the design. The StreetSurfer takes the old design of the bicycle and adds something completely new to the mix. Instead of having only two wheels, the StreetSurfer has five, with the usual one wheel in the back, but four in the front.

The four wheels in the front of the StreetSurfer operate independently from eachother and provide enhanced stability, traction, and the bike’s excellent suspension system gives a smooth ride.
Instead of turning the handlebars to steer the bike, the StreetSurfer is steered by leaning to either side.
